Basssketball!

Hey friends!

Hope everyone's loving the snow, and the minus something weather, and most of all, of course.... THE HOLIDAYS! I've been waiting for the break since summer.

So as you may have guessed from the title of this post, it is indeed about BASKETBALL! On November 22, I sat in the audience to watch as two of our very own members revealed some hidden talents on the basketball court ---- Derek Tam and Julian Teofilo! Now, I had no idea Derek and Julian could play basketball.. did any of you?

Derek and Julian's team was part of a Special Olympics tournament that was taking place at the University of Guelph. It was very exciting to watch them both on the court, as they scored points for their team. The team did not win the tournament, but they did win a few matches, and Julian and Derek helped score some awesome baskets! I think we should have a basketball tournament for Hand Over Hand sometime, and then maybe Julian and Derek can give us all some pointers about how to score baskets!

Have a lovely, fabulous holiday everyone! And hope to see some of you at Kelsey's tomorrow!

Halloween Dance with Hand Over Hand, Heep Chi, and DREAMS

So a couple of days ago we had the Halloween Dance! I was really happy to see all of our friends there, and in great costumes!

I remember we saw Zorro, a doctor, Dorothy, a nerd, a witch, Michael Jackson, a pirate, a chef, and a cowboy. There were lots of other great costumes though! Which ones am I forgetting?

DREAMS and Hand Over Hand had great decorations. There were a lot of streamers, ghosts, pumpkins, and lanterns! I think my favourite decoration was the jack-o-lantern that lit up in the middle of the dancefloor.

I had lots of fun with everyone, and the music was great! We should all thank DREAMS and Heep Chi. DREAMS did a lot of work for the dance and got us food, music, and decorations! Hand Over Hand also got volunteers, food, decorations, and helped DREAMS to set up and clean up. You guys are great!

I hope we can do this again because it was a lot of fun.
What was your favourite part of the Halloween Dance?

Halloween!!

Halloween is quickly approaching, and I still haven't found a costume yet. I haven't had a lot of time to look around and shop for a costume.

I haven't decided on what I want to be for Halloween just yet. I probably won't choose something scary though. I've been a rabbit, a clown, and a witch before. I'm kind of picky though - I don't like wearing wigs, and I don't like to put on a lot of make-up, because I usually end up rubbing a lot of it off by mistake. :P There will be a prize for the best costume at Hand Over Hand's Halloween dance, so I think everyone will be coming with very impressive costumes!

Do you have any suggestions for me? What are you going to be for Halloween? What do you look forward to the most on Halloween?
